Our story

Annie is a Southern California native who resides in Northern San Diego County. She is married to a wonderful husband who tolerates her cookie cutter addiction, and a mom to two young boys.

Annie has always had a love of baking and landed in cookie land by chance. In 2019 she had a 3-month-old baby and toddler at home and needed a hobby she could do during nap time. She was watching YouTube videos and just happened upon a cookie decorating video. She tried making some heart cookies for Valentine’s Day and train cookies for her oldest son’s birthday. After that she was hooked, and dove headfirst into being a “Cookier”. With the help of her husband, she decided to launch Doughmestic Bakery (formally known as Annie’s Sweet Cookiery) in 2021.
